Experience Waterloo Announces Leadership Transition
WATERLOO, IA, August 29, 2026 — Experience Waterloo is announcing a transition in its executive leadership. Executive Director Tavis Hall has resigned from his position, effective Friday, September 4, 2026, as the organization prepares for its next chapter.
“Leading Experience Waterloo has been one of the great privileges of my career. I’m proud of what our team accomplished together and grateful for the progress our community has experienced. I wish the organization every continued success,” said Hall.
“Tavis Hall made a lasting impact on Experience Waterloo, elevating our tourism office and laying a strong foundation for the future,” said Joy Briscoe, Board President. “We thank Tavis for his vision and leadership, and we wish him continued success.”
Experience Waterloo remains committed to its mission to promote and enhance the Waterloo experience and to supporting Waterloo’s continued growth as a destination.
Lindsay Pieters, who has served as Experience Waterloo’s Marketing Director for the past seven years, has been named Interim Executive Director, effective September 7, 2026. Pieters will lead the organization’s continued efforts to promote Waterloo while the Board conducts its search for a permanent Executive Director. Additional updates regarding the search will be shared as the process progresses.
