Experience Waterloo Opens Applications
for Fiscal Year 2027 Hotel-Motel Tax Grants


WATERLOO, IOWA Experience Waterloo has opened applications for its Quarter Three and Four Fiscal Year 2027 Hotel-Motel Tax Grants. Grants are available for events and projects in the Waterloo area that take place between January 1, 2027, and June 30, 2027.


“When people come to Waterloo for conferences, tournaments, festivals and reunions, they support our local businesses,” said Lindsay Pieters, Interim Executive Director of Experience Waterloo. “We’ve made the application process simpler, so it’s easier than ever for event organizers to apply. We want to help these events grow and bring even more visitors to our community.”


Grant funding will go to event-based projects that bring visitors to Waterloo between January 1 and June 30, 2027.
