Heartland Farms
Soak up the crisp fall air on a Hayride and take advantage of fall harvest at Heartland Farms. Fall activities start Friday the 27th of September through Thursday the 31st of October. Classic to the farm is the PUNKINATOR, an air powered pumpkin “cannon” is powered up at the top of the hour for a few hits on the target or out of sight in to cornfield, the favorite of all.
Admission:
- Weekdays Monday through Friday $14
- Saturday and Sunday $17 for admission
- Age 2 and under are free.
Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens
Another Fall Family favorite is the Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens. Their operating hours are Monday-Saturday 9-6pm and Sunday 11-6pm. Their gardens are now filled with festive scarecrows, fall decorations, and fun cutouts, perfect for photos with family and friends!
Admission:
- Adult (Ages 18+) - $10
- Children (Ages 5-17) - $5
- Ages 4 & Under - Free
George Wyth State Park
Create your own adventure in our very own urban sanctuary –George Wyth State Park. Fall bike rides and hikes to catch the leaves at are full of fall colors.
The Heart of Darkness
Next level scares can be found at The Heart of Darkness – Haunted Theme Park, opening Oct 3rd. Voted #1 Haunt in Iowa! Over 13 separately themed areas to get your adrenaline freak level through the roof!
Admission:
- General: $25-30
- Fast Pass: $40-45
