The 1814 Marriage Season is in full bloom, and ambitious mamas have dragged their hopeful offspring to the countryside for a weekend house-party at The Weis Mansion. All the fashionable set are here — diamonds, rakes, wallflowers, fortune-hunters, and chaperones alike — each hiding scandals behind the painted fans and practiced smiles of the Regency period. As champagne flows, quadrilles spin, and whispered proposals are made in moonlit gardens, old grudges and secret engagements threaten to ruin more than reputations than any scandal sheets ever could.
When, halfway through the masquerade ball, a dastardly crime is committed — the remaining guests must sift through torn dance cards and poisonous gossip to unmask the culprit.
