Black Hawk Hockey Theme Nights

January is full of hockey and fun at Young Arena in Waterloo. All games are at Young Arena. Come out, enjoy the themed nights, and cheer on the Black Hawks live!

Friday, January 9

Kick off the month with the Black Hawks taking on the Madison Capitols. Fans can grab a Joe Pavelski Hall of Fame mini banner (limited to 1,000), and enjoy Wellness & Mental Health Appreciation Night. It’s also College Night, making it a night to celebrate students and hockey alike.

Saturday, January 10

Star Wars Night brings intergalactic fun to the rink, alongside Signature Saturday, Educator Appreciation Night, and the McDonald’s Madness Ticket Package.

Friday, January 23

Celebrate Country Night, Over/Under Night, Halfway to the Iowa State Fair, and Healthcare Appreciation Night.

Saturday, January 24

Hockey Fights Cancer Night is a night with extra meaning. Jerseys will be auctioned to benefit the American Cancer Society. Fans can also enjoy National Beer Can Appreciation Day, a pregame party at SingleSpeed Brewing, Signature Saturday, Healthcare Appreciation Night, and Slumberland Advocacy Night.

Celebrate Tommy Hawk’s Birthday Bash, plus the McDonald’s Madness Ticket Package.

Live Music at The Screaming Eagle


Jay and Jen of Zoot and Newt return to The Screaming Eagle, joined by original drummer Joel Hundley and new bass player Frank Sutton. Their last performance drew a full house, and this show is expected to be just as lively. Fans can look forward to a mix of original tunes, including some favorites that haven’t been heard in a while. The show starts at 8:30 PM and there is no cover charge, making it the perfect way to kick off the weekend in style.

Scandal at the Bridgington Ball
