You know that feeling you get when you go to the Farmer’s Market? The feeling of community, supporting our friends and neighbors? Feeling like you’re doing something cool?
After staying home and away from each other, the Farmer’s Market might be the first place we get to safely see other people. We’ll be able to say “hi” from a distance and thank our local growers and business owners. It will feel even MORE cool than before.
The RiverLoop Farmers Market, Waterloo’s downtown market, is located at the RiverLoop Expo Grounds, 460 Jefferson St. It is open every Saturday from May 16 through October from 8am-Noon. You can browse and purchase a wide variety of fresh produce and unique local gifts while enjoying live music, complimentary fresh hot coffee, and free games and craft activities for kids. Purchase a snack or lunch at one of the excellent food and beverages vendors. Stay tuned for updated protocols on how the Farmers Market will allow for safe shopping.
