My Waterloo Days Weekend Guide

The My Waterloo Days festival is right around the corner, and the 2026 lineup is packed with enough live music, family activities, and community traditions to fill your entire weekend. From June 4 through June 6, downtown Waterloo is the place to be.

Thursday, June 4

The festival starts with a relaxed evening perfect for families and local fans. Head to the Riverloop Amphitheater at 6 p.m. for a free outdoor screening of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants and kids crafts with the Phelps Youth Pavilion. If you prefer something with a bit more noise, Screaming Eagle Bike Night starts at 6:30 p.m. on Lafayette Street, featuring live music from the Fabulous Trutones.

Friday, June 5

Friday is when the energy really picks up. Lincoln Park opens at 5 p.m., followed by the My Waterloo Days Parade at 6 p.m. This is a local favorite, so finding a good spot along the route early is always a smart move.

Once the parade wraps up, the focus shifts to the main stage. The SaxMan Duo will get things started at 7 p.m., leading up to the Friday night headliner, The Commodores, at 9 p.m. Expect a massive fireworks display at 10 p.m. to cap off the night, followed by a DJ set to keep the party going until 11 p.m.

Saturday, June 6

Saturday is the busiest day of the festival, starting with the Block Party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This includes the street market featuring local vendors and a car show. Lincoln Park is free until 3 p.m. and includes activities with the Phelps Youth Pavilion, food vendors, games, and a Ferris wheel. The annual Kids Bike Races also kick off at 11 a.m.

As the afternoon turns to evening, the live music schedule is non-stop:
4 pm – HartSmith
6 pm – The Feel Right Band
8 pm – Murphy Lee
10 pm – Mario

Whether you are there for the morning races or the late-night headliners, it is going to be a weekend to remember. You can find more details on ticket options and the full schedule on the My Waterloo Days website.
